Abstract
Objective To observe the protective effect of Blue Cape Skin Better on fluorouracil induced phlebitis through wet dressing. Methods Seventy-four patients were divided into Blue Cape Skin Better group with 41 patients by wet dressing and Hirudoid group, in which 33 patients were coated with Hirudoid. The vascular changes in appearance and phlebitis before and after the intervention were observed and the clarity, fullness and elasticity of vascular and the patient ’s comfort were assessed. Results The incidence of phlebitis in Blue Cape Skin Better group was significantly lower than that in Hirudoid group (10%v.s. 33%, P<0.05), and the clarity, fullness and elasticity of vascular and patient ’s comfort in Blue Cape Skin Better group were better than those in Hirudoid group. Conclusion Early application of Blue Cape Skin Better or Hirudoid can prevent Fluorouracil induced phlebitis effectively, but there is more obvious effect with wet dressing of Blue Cape Skin Better, which is more easily accepted by patients.关键词
