摘要

Abstract

With the current situation of water shortage growing severe , the irrigation is becoming accurate and intelligent . To meet the requirement of crop water status measurement , a system for monitoring micro changes in stem diameter was developed , which was based on the linear variable differential transformer and integrated wireless collection and transmis -sion module .Variation in crop stem diameter could be measured precisely , nondestructively and remotely , which was helpful to show the crop water status directly and then conduct the crop precision irrigation .The system is easy to operate and nondestructive to plants , which can also realize continuous monitoring and automatic recording .The results show that the correlation between stem diameter variation and soil moisture changes is significant , whose correlation coefficient reach up to 0 .9231 , which could contribute to direct irrigation .
