Abstract

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of suprascapular nerve block lysis in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods:The study subjects were 112 patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis who were treated in our hospital form February 2010 to March 2013. They were randomly divided into observation group(56 cases)and control group(56 cases)according to their visiting sequences. The observation group was treated with suprascapular nerve block lysis method, the efficacy was evaluated after 2 weeks of treatment. In the control group, the shoulder pain points were marked, disinfected, vertically pierced with puncture needle until the patient felt acid bilges, injected 2-4 ml 2%lidocaine, 25 mg prednisolone acetate, 3 to 5 pain points every time, once a week, and the efficacy was evaluated after 4 weeks of treatment. Visual analog scale(VAS)was applied to compare the pain degrees before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the VAS in the observation group(2.20 ± 0.67)was significantly lower than that of control group(4.16 ± 1.00), the difference was statistically significant(t=12.185, P<0.05). The total efficiency of the observation group was 100%, of the control group was 73.21%, and there was statistical significance(χ2=17.320, P<0.05). Conclusion:Suprascapular nerve block lysis method can effectively reduce patients’pain in the treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis, which is better than partial closure method and worthy of clinical application.
