Abstract
As soil erosion has been serious threat to sustainable development of the society, biological measures especially vegetation is one of the most useful and basic methods to harness the typical soil and water loss. Choice of different vegetation types or species is critical to effectively controlsoilandwaterloss.Throughmanyyearsofsoilandwaterconservationpractices,weanalyzethebiologicalcharacteristicsofprunusja-ponica thunb, its planting can effectively reduce soil and water loss for windbreak and sand-fixation, and also produce higher economic value, meanwhileit isthebesttreesforlandscaping,whichcanrealizeecological,economicandsocialbenefits.关键词
