Abstract
The metallurgical overhead crane is important equipment for transportation of liquid metal in the metallurgi-cal industry;the rapid economy development requires more and more metallurgical cranes.High emphasis is placed on reli-ability,safety,and advancement of such crane due to increasingly decline of its structural strength arising from severe work-ing environments and frequent brakes.The paper introduces the destructive modes for four major structures of metallurgical cranes,describes current development situations of crane's health monitoring technology at home and abroad,and puts for-ward existing problems,development trend,and prospect regarding the crane's health monitoring technology.关键词
