Analysis on Rodent Prevention and Control in Northern Subtropics Artificial Grassland Based on SWOT Framework

Abstract
Based on SWOT model , the prevention and control conditions of rodent damage in Xiaoshao grassland in Kunming , a representative northern subtropics artificial grassland , were analyzed from four as-pects of advantages , weaknesses , opportunities and threats .The results showed that the prevention and control advantages were the experiences of farmers and herders accumulated in production practices; the weaknesses were the big rodent damage which was not easy to be found;the opportunities were more prevention and con-trol methods to be referenced;and the threats were degraded grassland , which increased the occurrence of ro-dents , and inadequate funds and R&D efforts .The monitoring system of rodent damage in northern subtropics grassland was suggested to be established to control the rodent damage in the bud stage , minimize the loss , and ultimately realize the healthy , sustainable and stable development of northern subtropics artificial grass-land.关键词
