Abstract
The process of urbanization is an important manifestation of modernization .The level of China's urbaniza-tion has been significantly increased since 1978 , and now how to objectively and scientifically analyze the level of China ’ s urbanization has become a hot topic .Based on factor analysis , a comprehensive evaluation of the levels of prefecture-level cities ’ urbanization is conducted in this research .The results of the evaluation show that the levels of urbanization in eastern region are significantly higher than those in central and western regions , and the city clus-ter should be the trend and direction of the future development of China's urbanization .关键词
