Abstract

The design model and other two reference models of the fishway in Xinglong Hydro-Junction Project were numerically simulated by the RNG k-εturbulence model and the finite difference method. The flow pattern and parameters, such as turbulent kinetic energy and energy dissipation rate, were analyzed. The hydraulic characteristics of the submerged orifice transverse diaphragm plate fishway with different orifice layouts were compared and analyzed. The results show that energy dissipation effect of the fishway in Xinglong Hydro-Junction Project is good. The energy dissipation effect with the opposite arrangement of adjacent baffles' orifice is better than that with the ipsilateral arrangement. The submerged orifice transverse diaphragm plate fishway can be optimized by changing the position, amount and size of the orifices. It has a strong plasticity and good application prospect.
