Abstract

By comparing the growth trait of the offspring of three breeding populations of Larimichthys crocea, the second generation of two selective breeding populations ( XY2012-JC-F2 , XY2012-XP-F2 ) and the first generation of the wild breeding population ( YS2012-F1 ) , the breeding effects were analyzed .The results showed that the cor-relations of body length ( L) and weight ( W) for F2 and F1 were different based on the measurement results which fitting 4-13 month-old Larimichthys crocea.Growth rate of the selective breeding were higher than the wild popula-tion breeding at the later stage .Analysis of the body length and weight showed that realized heritability of body length for 10 to 13 months of XY2012-JC-F2 was 0.228 -0.364 , realized heritability of weight was 0.131 -0.243;and for XY2012-XP-F2 , realized heritability of body length and weight were 0.193-0.265 and 0.126-0.134,respectively.The correlation coefficient of body length and weight was 0.857-0.981, the maximum corre-lation coefficient of body length and full length for 13 month-old Larimichthys crocea was 0.997.Results indicated that selective breeding had a certain role in the process of breeding .It was also suggested that family selection and within-family selection should be combined in the future breeding .
