河南南阳城市与乡村成年人肥胖相关指数的年龄分布特征
Ages distribution characteristics of body obesity index between urban and rural adults in Nanyang, Henan province

Abstract
Objective The body obesity index was calculated to explore the obesity status of urban and rural adults in Nanyang, Henan province. Methods Urban and rural male and female from Nanyang were randomly selected to collect the data of height, weight, waist circumference and hip circumference. Then these data were used to calculate and analyze body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio (WHR), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR). Results The BMI of urban and rural residents older than 30 years were overweight. The WC and WHR of urban males older than 60 years and females older than 50 years met the obesity criterion. The WHtR of urban males older than 30 years and rural males older than 50 years met the obesity criterion , and urban and rural females aged over 40 years met the obesity criterion. The BMI, WC, WHR, and WHtR of urban males were greater than those of rural males (P < 0.01). In females aged over 50 years, BMI and WC of urban females were greater than those of rural females (P < 0.01). In females aged over 60 years, WHR of rural females were greater than that of urban females (P < 0.01). Conclusion Obesity was serious in urban and rural adults in Nanyang, especially in those aged over 50 years , health education must be carried out.关键词
