人参种子大小及其分布特征分析
Analysis of Distribution Characteristics of Seed Scale in Panax ginseng C .A .Meyer

Abstract
The length ,width and thickness of the seeds of Panax ginseng C .A .Meyer were found to show normal bell -shape distribution .The average width of the seeds collected from different locations is approximately 4.5mm .There are approximately 51% seeds whose width is larger than 4.5mm in all these seeds .The width of seeds which is less than 4.5mm is 48.56% in all these seeds .Either the seeds whose width is less than 3.5mm ,or those whose width is larger than 5.5mm are less than 10% totally .However ,the percentages of seeds in different scale were quite different among cultivars .The width to length ratio (W/L) of the seeds ranges from 0.70 to 1.00 .The dispersions of W/L were found to be similar in different cultivars .The thickness to width ratio (H/W ) ranges from 0.30 to 0.90 ,and the thickness to length ratio (H/L ) is 0.25-0.80 .Both H/W and H/L are very different among cultivars .A single seed weighted from 10 to 50 mg .Positive linear correlation bet ween mean width and mean weight was observed(R2=0.998 9) .It shows good positive linear correlation with the seed width .A very good lin-ear correlation has been found between the average seed weight and average width of the seeds (R2=0.993) .The coefficients of swelling of the length ,width and thickness of ginseng seeds are all approximately 1.05 .Seeds of P .ginseng can be graded using screening fraction ,and the graded results meet the criterion of international rules for seeding testing .关键词
