Abstract

This paper analyzed the current situation and main problems in Xi'an railway terminal. And then, in combination with the general layout planning of Xi'an railway terminal, according to the principle of “passenger line inside and freight line outside, separating the passenger line and freight line, rational arrangement, combining the long term with short term”, the scheme of leading the Yinchuan-Xi'an Railway into the Xi'an railway terminal was eventually determined as below: first the Yinchuan-Xi'an Railway would run parallel with the Xi'an-Pingliang Railway until arriving to Qianxian Railway Station where the station and yard would be rebuilt for both the two railways; then from Qianxian Railway Station, the passenger line and the freight line of the Yinchuan-Xi'an Railway would be separated to respectively continue their own way until arriving to the terminal. Emphatically, this paper researched the scheme of leading the passenger line of the Yinchuan-Xi'an Railway into the Xi'an Railway Station, and the scheme of leading the EMU of the Yinchuan-Xi'an Railway into the connection line of Xi'an North Railway Station.
