Abstract
With the development of both the southeast coastal ports as well as port industries, together with the construction of port railway branch lines, there was an urgent need for railway freight transportation in this coastal region. Therefore, according to the coastal railway planning mode specified in Medium and Long Term Railway Network Plan (revised in 2008), this paper analyzed relevant issues of the coastal port railway, including the passenger and freight transport demand and volume features at different areas, the cargo constitute and flow direction features, the paths and features of collecting and distributing system behind the port railway branch lines. Furthermore, according to the existing coastal railway construction standard, freight transport facility distribution, capacity adaptability and the transportation mode, this paper analyzed the main factors which have influence on the freight transport. Finally, in combination with functional orientation and transportation ability of coastal railway, this paper suggested an idea that the issue of freight transportation of coastal railway should be settled in a multi-stage mode.关键词
