Basic Physicochemical Characteristics of the Huadian Oil Shales

Abstract
Physiochemical analysis has been made of the Huadian oil shale with thermogravimetry, Fourier transform-infra-red spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy.The results show that the Huadian oil shale is a kind of low grade fuel with high mineral content, dense structure, and high density.The kerogen found in the HD oil shale con-sists mainly of aliphatic compounds, while the dominant inorganic phase is quartz.Based on experimental results, the first order kinetic model is created with its reliability verified for pyrolysis and combustion of oil shale.关键词
