Abstract
Based on data of heavy metals concentrations of 2 300 topsoil samples collected in central Zhejiang Province and regional ge-ochemical exploration conducted in 1987, the authors analyzed the characteristics of Cd, Hg, Pb, Cr, Ni, Cu and Zn concentrations. The concentrations of these 8 heavy metals increase significantly in the industrial districts. Approximately 6.09% and 40.26% of the soil is respectively subjected to moderate to heavy and slight pollution of heavy metals. The distribution of contaminated districts is consist-ent with the traffic trunk and hardware enterprise areas, and has nothing to do with the geological background, which indicates that the heavy metals are derived from local hardware enterprises.关键词
