摘要

Abstract

In this paper , a new method of color image compression base on 3D_DCT is proposed by analyzing the correlation of R , G , B components of a color image . It regards a color image as a 3D signal and with the 3D_DCT , the correlation of the R , G , B components and the correlation between the R , G , B components in the image is greatly reduced . As a result , this method has a higher compression ratio on the premise of remaining the image quality . Further more , some advantages such as simple , fast speed are achieved by this method . Experiments show that it is a good color image compression algorithm .
