摘要

Abstract

An implementation of remote video monitoring system is introduced ,which is run in the em-bedded Linux platform .The acquisition system takes the ARM 9 microprocessor S3C2440 as the main processor ,and collects video information through the USB camera ,and uses JPEG image compression al-gorithm to achieve the video image compression ,and uses the TCP/IP protocol to transmit data ,and uses Java applet-technology to realize the receiving and display the video image on a web page .The web server of the video monitor screen is accessed by the client through normal internet explorer brow ser .T he test results show that the whole system is stable ,the image display is clear and smooth ,network delay is very small .
