Tissue-engineered cartilage repair for sports-induced articular cartilage injury

Abstract
BACKGROUND:The emergence and development of tissue engineering technology provides a new idea for reconstruction of joint functions after sports-induced articular cartilage injuries, and realizes complete regeneration of cartilage tissue. <br> OBJECTIVE:To understand the basic principles of tissue engineering research, to analyze factors influencing tissue-engineered cartilage construction, and to explore the feasibility of tissue-engineered cartilage repair for sports-induced articular cartilage injury. <br> METHODS:Through the retrieval of literatures on the construction and application of tissue-engineered cartilage, we analyzed the feasibility of new cartilage formation in vivo using tissue engineering technology, focused on tissue-engineered cartilage construction and its application in cartilage injury and repair, thereby providing a theoretical basis for tissue-engineered cartilage repair of sports-induced cartilage injuries. <br> RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Seed cells, scaf olds and in vitro culture environment constitute two elements of cartilage tissue engineering, which, as a whole, promote and restrict each other. The proper configuration of seed cells, scaf olds and in vitro culture environment is the key issue to be solved in the treatment of sports-induced cartilage injuries.关键词
