Abstract
Objective To explore the characteristics of complications after nipple areola complex ( NAC) sparing modified radical mastectomy and their prevetion measures.Methods The clinical effects and complications of 36 cases of NAC sparing modified radical mastectomy were analyzed , as well as the relevant prevention measures were summarized.Results NAC sparing modified radical mastectomy were successfully carried out in 27 ( 75%) out of the 36 cases.There were 5 cases ( 19%) had nipple necrosis , 2 cases (7%) with skin infection and necrosis , 2 cases (7%) subcutaneous hydrops , 2 cases (7%) chest muscle contracture with ipsilateral upper limb dyskinesia , and 1case (4%) with upper extremity lymphedema Of the 27 patients.All cases with complications relieved after positive treatment.During follow-up of 3-36 months, there was no recurrence in the region of NAC.Conclusion The common complications of nipple areola com-plex ( NAC) sparing modified radical mastectomy are nipple necrosis , skin infection and necrosis , subcutane-ous hydrops , chest muscle contracture with ipsilateral upper limb dyskinesia.On the premise of strictly con-trolled surgical indication , clinician should clarify its common complications and master the operation skills.Postoperative timely detection and effective treatment of complications can reduce the adverse consequences .关键词
