Abstract
Objectives The objectives of this research was to explore if orthodontic force could make the produce of epidermal growth factor (EGF) to promote periodontal tissue rebuilding. Methods Twelve adult patients were selected as objects. The first premolars in upper mandible were pul ed out. A fragment of archwire between canine and the first molar was fixed in upper jaw. The distal forces of 250g were exerted to the canines. The blood and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) were col ected in 0d、3d、7d and 30d after the distal forces were exerted. The concentration of EGF were analyzed using ELISA . Al the data were statistical analyzed using SPSS 16.0. Results The concentration of EGF in blood didn't have significant dif erence among dif erent time point. The concentration of EGF in GCF increased significantly in 3 and 7 days after the distal forces were exerted. The concentration of EGF in GCF was higher than that in blood. Conclusion Orthodontic force couldn't cause systemic feedback to produce EGF, but stimulate local periodontal tissue to produce EGF in order to promote periodontal tissue reconstruction.关键词
