Abstract
Objective To discussion serum IL-21, IL-6 changes and clinical significance in ankylosing spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis, AS)patients. Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was applied to measure serum IL-21 and IL-6 levels, include 50 AS patients (disease activity of 30 patients, 20 patients stable) and 30 normal controls. Results IL-21 and IL-6 levels in AS patients in active phase were significantly higher than the normal group, and the dif erence was statistical y significant ( <0.01). IL-21 and IL-6 levels in stable phase were significantly lower than those in active period ( <0.05), but which were higher than the normal control group ( <0.05).Conclusion IL-21 and IL-6 may be involved in the pathogenesis of AS, which change along with the disease of severity, duration; TO observed IL-21, IL-6 serum levels regularly in AS patients in clinic was helpful for treatment and prognosis.关键词
