Experimental Research on CO2 Capture From Simulated Flues Gas Using Ammonia Solution in Packed Towers

Abstract
For the purpose of reducing CO2 emissions from coal-fired power plants, the experimental research on continuous CO2 removal from simulated flue gas were completed, by spraying absorption in a packed column with ammonia as the absorbent. The effects of mass fraction of ammonia solution, CO2 concentration, temperature, pH, inlet gas flow rate and other factors on CO2 removal efficiency were investigated. The results show that CO2 removal efficiency increases with the increase of mass fraction of ammonia solution, but decreases with the increase of CO2 concentration. With the decrease of pH, CO2 removal efficiency decreases continuously. The removal efficiency gradually increases from 35℃ to 40℃ but decreases from 40℃ to 45℃. The higher the inlet gas flow rate is, the lower the CO2 removal efficiency will be. Compared with spray towers, packed towers are better in improving CO2 removal efficiency.关键词
