摘要

Abstract

In order to meet the requirements of dielectric tests on ±1 100 kV ultra high voltage direct current (UHVDC) converter valve, the impulse test method of ±1 100 kV UHVDC converter valve has been studied. Surface electric field intensity on shielding cases of the impulse test equipment was calculated by using Galerkin boundary element method. According to existing conditions, a feasible measure was proposed, which can be employed to decrease electric field dramatically and avoid corona discharge of shielding cases. In addition, the test circuits for ±1 100 kV converter valve were put forward, and the design for equivalent loads was studied.
