A Long-term Optimal Scheduling Method for Wind-hydro-thermal Power Systems

Abstract
The optimal dispatching of wind-hydro-thermal power system including cascade hydropower stations plays an important role in reducing coal consumption and improving the utilization of clean energy. However, the differences and complementarity of the power generating characteristics, and many uncertain factors need to be considered in this problem and it is difficult to model and solve the long-term scheduling. In this paper, the long-term optimal scheduling model of wind-hydro-thermal system was established, in which, the maintenance effects and the complex constraints were considered and all of the coupled hydraulic, wind, thermal and electricity constraints were included. To reduce the solving difficulty, the above large-scale, multi-constrained, nonlinear optimization problem was converted into a mixed integer linear model. And the point estimate method was introduced to handle the randomness of runoff and wind speed during each period. By means of this method, the estimated points of the random variables were set up, and then the long-term optimal scheduling model was solved with each estimated point vector, thus the expected value of the optimal scheduling decision variables was obtained. Case studies show that the proposed scheduling method has the performance of high precision, rapid solving speed, and can easily deal with uncertainties.关键词
