Abstract
An experimental investigation on the influence of proportion of syngas constituents on ignition time and ignition limit was implemented in a model gas turbine combustor. The syngas used in the experiment consisted of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, methane, carbon dioxide, and nitrogen, and the heat value of the syngas was in a range of 4.76-35.8MJ/m3. The check experiment of methane ignition was carried out. The effect of inlet air flow and proportion of syngas constituents on ignition limit and ignition time was investigated systematically. The experimental results show that the ignition time shortens obviously, and the ignition limit is enlarged evidently when the hydrogen proportion is increased from 0 to 20%. When the proportion is over 50%, the influence of employed air flow on ignition time and ignition limit is no longer evident, thus, H2 is the most important factor. Meanwhile, three subsequent distinct flame patterns were observed. Unstable flames are near the lean ignition limits;stable flames are in the range of lean condition;and oscillated flames are in the rich condition as a form of periodically propagated flame. Finally, an ignition map was obtained.关键词
