摘要

Abstract

Due to the influence of truncation error and the limit of voltage source converter based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) control mode, alternating iterative hybrid algorithm based on evolutionary algorithm and interior point method (IPM) for solving optimal power flow (OPF) problem of AC-DC power system with VSC-HVDC is easy to oscillate. A novel unified hybrid algorithm combining differential evolution (DE) with primal-dual interior point method (PDIPM) was proposed to solve the problem. The main idea of proposed algorithm was to optimize discrete variables by DE firstly and then optimize continuous variables and estimate fitness of DE population by PDIPM in every iteration step of DE algorithm. Global searching ability was improved because there’s no need to set VSC-HVDC control mode while using PDIPM to optimize continuous variables. Results of several test cases indicate great numerical stability and strong searching ability of the proposed hybrid algorithm. The algorithm can solve OPF problem of AC-DC power system with two-terminal, multi-terminal and multi-infeed VSC-HVDC successfully.
