Abstract
The objective of the study was to examine sequence variation in the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and 5.8S rDNA of Parascaris equorum from Equus burchelli in Hunan province, and to reconstruct their phylogenetic relationship using ITS sequences. The ITS sequences were amplified from each Parascaris equorum sample and the amplicons were cloned into pGEM-T Easy vector. The inserts were successfully sequenced, and the length of ITS in all samples was 892bp in size containing part of 18S and 28S and complete ITS-1, 5.8S and ITS-2 sequences, suggesting that the ascarides from Equus burchelli was Parascaris equorum.The study lay down the foundation for further study on molecular epidemiology and diagnostics of Parascaris equorum from Equus burchelli.关键词
