Abstract
The resistance of engine room air inlet wells directly affects the electric blower performance, which has a major impact on cabin ventilation. To address the issue,this paper establishes a discrete nu-merical model for the flow field of a ship air inlet well. Specifically,the Navier-Stokes equation is first solved using FLUENT,and the resistance characteristics of the actual engine room fresh air inlet well as well as its optimized structure are then calculated. The results show that by applying various optimization schemes on the hull structure,its ventilation resistance characteristics can be improved to some extent. Fi-nally,through comprehensive assessment,the most cost effective optimization scheme is determined,and the corresponding ventilation resistance is reduced by 32.37%.关键词
