Review on pharmacokinetics studies in the elderly
摘要
Abstract
As various organs and system functions of the elderly suffer progressive deteriorations , the absorption , distribution , metabolism and excretion features of the elderly also exhibit corresponding changes.The pharmacokinetics studies of investigational drugs in the elderly mostly fo-cus on those drugs whose indications are applicable for potential elderly patients or aiming for common diseases of the elderly .The subjects are mostly healthy elderly people or potential target old patients , and the re-search methods mostly comply with the principles of parallel control or external control.The article reviews the methods applied in recent elderly pharmacokinetics studies and provides some professional suggestions for investigators when conducting pharmacokinetics studies in the elderly.关键词
