Abstract
The balance and coordination of muscle sys-tem is very crucial for oral functions. The position changes of the jaw and dental arch in orthodontic treatment must be in harmony with surrounding muscles to guarantee the success of treatment and stability of the curative effects. This article is to preliminarily analyze the mechanism of how jaw deformity and malocclusion are caused by muscle dysfunction,and to sum-marize the examination,diagnosis,prevention and early treat-ments of muscle dysfunction in orthodontic treatment.关键词
