Abstract
As a result of a screening of serum calcium and and parathyroid hormone and neck ultrasound examination, the incidence of asymptomatic primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) has increased year by year. The diagnosis and therapy of asymptomatic PHPT gradually arouses extensive attention. Although there are still conflicts on the management of asymptomatic PHPT, it has become more standard with the accumulation of experience on asymptomatic PHPT, the development of clinical studies with higher intensity of argumentation, and the update of the guideline for the diagnosis and management of asymptomatic PHPT. The rational choose of surgery therapy, pharmacologic therapy and follow-up is the key to improve patients’life quality and achieve the best therapy effects for patients with asymptomatic PHPT.关键词
