Abstract
Objective:To analyze hospitalization expenses among different modes of delivery without medical indications for caesarean section and to provide evidence for effectively reducing obstetric medical cost. Methods:A total of 3 000 maternal cases,including 1 000 cases of cesarean section without medical indications,1 000 cases of episiotomy eutocia and 1 000 cases of non-episiotomy eutocia,were selected in one hospital from January 2012 to July 2013,and the constituent ratios and structures of their hospitalization expenses were analyzed among these 3 groups. Results:The hospitalization expenses of cesarean section without medical indications were the highest,followed by the group of episiotomy eutocia. The main factors resulting in the higher cost of cesarean section were the higher costs of surgery,medicine and medical materials. Conclusion:Effective strategies should be taken to reduce the rate of cesarean section without medical indications to reduce hospitalization costs and to save medical resources.关键词
