Analysis on government health expenditure in Hubei province from 2007 to 2011

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the level and allocation of government health expenditure in Hubei province from 2007 to 2011 and to analyze the current problems and countermeasures. Methods:Excell2010 and SPSS 17.0 were used for sorting and analyzing data. Total health expenditure by financing sources was used to calculate government health expenditure in Hubei from 2007 to 2011 and the results were compared with that of mainland China. Results:Government health expenditure in Hubei increased from 8.082 billion yuan to 27.805 billion yuan,the proportions of government health expenditure relative to gross domestic product(GDP),total expenditure on health (TEH)and government expense had a rising tendency during 2007-2011. Meanwhile,the growth rate of government health expenditure was more than that of total government expense. Conclusion:The tendency of government health expenditure was relatively well in recent years,it coordinated with economic level. The government expenditure per capita was lower,compared with the average of mainland China. Government of Hubei province needs to optimize the structure of investment,enhance pertinence and improve fairness of investment in future work.关键词
