Correction of Epicanthus with Triangle Advance Skin Flap Combined with Double-eyelid Plastic

Abstract
Objective To observe a simple and effective method for correction of epicanthus. Methods Using triangle advance skin flap combined with double-eyelid plastic,that was to advance the triangle kin flap of epicanthus and incise the bilateral cat ear which was twisted,and to conceal the incision along the gray line combined with double eyelid plastic. Results From July 2010 to September 2013,30 cases were treated with this method and were followed up within the period of three weeks to three years. The patients were satisfied with the operation effect. The scar with redness occurred in the tip of triangle skin flap which disappeared soon after about three months ordinarily. Conclusion The canthoplasty with triangle advance skin flap is an effective method for correction of minor and moderate epicanthus. It is worthy of widely adoption for its simple design and invisible scar.关键词
