Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect and advantages of elastic intramedullary nail in treatment of femoral shaft in children. Method:Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data and curative effect from January 2007 to December 2012,21 cases of children femoral shaft fractures were treated by elastic intramedullary nail. Result:21 patients were followed up,the follow-up time was 6-36 months,mean 12 months;all patients started weight training after 6 weeks operation,All of the fractures healed ,the healing time about 8 weeks to 24 weeks,the children of the hip,knee joint returned to normal activity. The fracture side limb recovered good functional. 5 patients had skin irritation symptoms,without elastic intramedullary nail breakage and bending;no refracture and osteomyelitis. All fractures achieved radiographic union after 8 weeks operation,average elastic intramedullary nails were removed 22 weeks after operation. Conclusion:The elastic intramedullary nail in treatment of femoral shaft fracture in children has obvious curative effect,can shorten operation time,less trauma,healing and fewer complications.关键词
