Abstract
Objective To analyze the method and clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation in treatment of peripheral facial nerve paralysis. Methods The clinical diagnosis and treatment information of 163 cases with peripheral facial nerve paralysis(the treatment group) admitted in our hospital from June 2005 to February 2013 were retrospectively analyzed, and the patients were treated with acupuncture and moxibustion combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation treatment, and the clinical effect of the treatment group was compared with that of the control group(synchronous 160 cases treated with simple acupuncture and moxibustion treatment). Results There were 68 cases(41.72%) with recovery, 61 cases(37.42%) with obviously effective, 31 cases(19.02%) with effective, 3 cases(1.84%) with invalid and 160 cases(98.16%) with total effective in the treatment group, and were significantly better than those of the control group (P < 0.05).The scores of HAMA and HAMD in the treatment group were (16.33±1.42)scores,(16.98±2.35)scores respectively, and were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);The scores of ESCA,KPS,MUNSH and QOLS in the treatment group were (108.11±9.34)scores,(82.16±7.16)scores,(27.31±3.04)scores,(62.18±6.37) scores respectively, and were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion combined with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation treatment can control clinical symptoms, improve self-care ability and quality of life, and it's effect is remarkable.关键词
