Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effect of tiotropium in the treatment of elderly patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods Seventy-two elderly patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to our hospital were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group. The control group was given ipratropium bromide treatment and the observation group was given tiotropium bromide treatment. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rates of dyspnea improvement of the observation group and the control group were 91.67% and 52.78% respectively, with significant difference (P < 0.05). Conclusion The application of tiotropium treatment in elderly patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can effectively improve lung function and therefore is worthy of wide promotion and application.关键词
