Abstract
Objective To investigate clinical effect of monopolar electrocautery tonsillectomy and conventional methods tonsillectomy. Methods 100 patients required elective surgery for tonsillectomy in our hospital from June 2009 to August 2012 were divided into the observation group(50), treated with monopolar electrocautery tonsillectomy, and the control group(50), treated with conventional methods tonsillectomy. The blood loss, the actual operative time, anesthesia time, postoperative sore throat after surgery, eye edema, pseudomembranous tonsillar fossa growth conditions, swallowing and speech function of two groups were analysed. Results Blood loss (12.5±5.9) Ml, operative time (20.7±10.2)min, anesthesia time (25.2±5.6) min of the observation group was significantly less than that of the control group(P<0.05). Excellent rate of sore throat score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(82.00%),(P < 0.05). Conclusion Compared with traditional methods tonsillectomy, using monopolar electrocautery tonsillectomy can reduce blood loss, shorter operative time and postoperative recovery of relevant indicators is also better than traditional methods.关键词
