Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effects of estradiol valerate united carboprost in the removal of intrauterine device(IUD) in postmenopausal women. Methods 174 postmenopausal women for removal of IUD were collected form Yan’an Hospital of Kunming City from 2010-10 to 2012-10. All of them were divided into study group and control group, 87 cases for each. The study group was given estradiol valerate 5 days before the operation and 1mg carboprost had been placed in posterior fornix of vagina 1 hour before the operation. The control group had not been given any treatments. Evaluate the degree of cervical softening and the success ratio of removal of IUD between the two groups. Results The cervical softening rate of the study group was 94.32% and the success ratio of removal of IUD was 97.72%, while the success ratio of removal of IUD of the control group was 75.00%. Conclusion The success ratio of removal of IUD was 97.72%when estradiol valerate combined carboprost were used in postmenopausal women. It can effectively alleviate the suffering of the patients, make the operation easier and less side effects, is worth for clinical application.关键词
