Abstract
Ob jective:To evaluate the clinical effects of acupuncture combined with acupoint catgut embedding therapy on treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy .Methods:Sixty-four patients with diabetic peripheral neu-ropathy were randomized into a treatment group and a control group , with 32 patients in each group .The treat-ment group was treated by acupuncture combined with embedding therapy , and the control group was treated by conventional therapy .The clinical effects were evaluated after three courses .Results:The total effective rate was 87 .5%in the treatment group and 62 .5%in the control group ,and the difference was significant ( P<0 .05 ) . Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with embedding therapy is an effective approach for treating diabetic pe -ripheral neuropathy .关键词
