Abstract
Doctors throughout the ages have explanations on “pain-point needling”.Modern scholars com-bine clinic and put forward different opinions , mainly focus on two aspects , one is a different understanding of the pain points , and the other is the relationship with the Ashi points .Author reviews related provisions in“Neijing”, consider “pain -point needling” is the acupoint selection method raised out from “Lingshu Jingjin”, and meridian sinews diseases mostly concentrated on the location between the body surface and the muscles, where it's entering striae invading sinews , its main symptom is pain , main pathologic response is ten-derness .Meridian sinews cannot transmit energy and blood , so no acupoints can mention , only “pain-point needling” is the optimized acupoint selection method for treating meridian sinews Bi -syndrome .“Pain-point needling” is one of the Ashi point selection methods , it differs from Ashi point's concept ( a general name for a category of the acupoints without clear locations ) , other than meridian acupoints and extra -meridian acu-points ) ,which should be distinguished clearly .关键词
