Abstract
Objective:To assess the clinical effectiveness of electrical pudendal nerve stimulation ( EPNS ) on female stress urinary incontinence ( SUI ) to explore the optimized therapy .Methods:38 famale patients with SUI were randomized into EPNS group ( n=20 ) and transvirginal/transanal electric stimulation group ( n =18 ) .Treatment was given accordingly .After one-month treatment , the scores for clinical symptons were re-corded to evaluate the clinial effectiveness .Results:In EPNS group, nine cases were clinically cured after treat-ment;two had a remarkable effect;six had an effect;two had a minimal effect and one had no effect .The total effectiveness rate was 85 .0%.In transvirginal/transanal eclectric stimulation group , four cases were clinially cured;three had a remarkable effect;two had an effect;five had a minimal effect and four had no effect .The total effectiveness rate was 50.0%.EPNS group showed a better effectiveness than transvirginal/transanal eclectric stimulation group .Patients in both groups had lower scores for symptoms after treatment ( P<0 .01 or P<0.05 ) .The EPNS group had more evident improvement ( P<0 .01 ) .Conclusion:EPNS can excise plevic floor muscle contration to have a clinical effect on female SUI as transvirginal /transanal eclectric stimulation . EPNS shows a better clinical effect .关键词
