Abstract
Objective To investigate the improvement of cognitive function and behavioral abilities in Alzheimer's disease after treatment with donepezil and Compound Haishe Capsule. Methods 90 patients with Alzheimer's disease were randomized into 3 groups: patients in combined group (30 cases) were treated with the combination of donepezil and Compound Haishe Capsule, patients in donepezil group(30 cases) were treated with donepezil, and patients in control group(30 cases) without any medicine. MMSE and ADL scale were assessed in patients before treatment and 3 months after. Results The cognitive function and behavioral abilities improved significantly in the donepezil group and combined group compared with control group(P<0.01), and the improvement of cognitive function was even more in the combined group than donepezil group (P<0.01). The behavioral abilities were improved markedly in the donepezil group and combined group (P<0.01). Conclusion Congnitive function and behavioral abilities in patients with Alzheimers's disease improved markedly after treatment with the combination of donepezil and compound Haishe Capsule.关键词
