Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of intraoperative radiotherapy for bladder cancer. Methods Sixty two patients with bladder cancer admitted in Zhuji People's Hospital from 2002 to 2010 were randomly assigned to two groups:32 cases underwent tumor resection and intraoperative radiotherapy (study group) and 30 cases received tumor resection alone (control group) . The overal survival rate, relapse- free survival, metastasis- free survival and length of hospital stay were com-pared between two groups. Results The patients were fol owed up for>3y with a fol ow- up rate of 100.00%. The overal sur-vival rate, relapse- free survival, and distant metastasis- free survival rate in study group were significantly longer than those in control group (P<0.05);however, there was no difference in length of hospital stay between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The intraoperative radiotherapy can effectively improve the overal survival, relapse- free survival and distant metastasis- free sur-vival for patients with bladder cancer.关键词
