Abstract

This paper studied the secondary lens of LED which can cover the same distributional area of illumination with the change of lens according to the height of 150-watt LED floodlight , with no changes of light luminaires and LED light source .Three types of aspheric lens for 60°, 90°and 120°irritation angle LED floodlights were designed by LightTools .The simulation experiments of the various irritation angle LED floodlights (60°, 90°and 120°) mounted at various height (12m~22m, 10m~20m and 10m ~20m) were done.In the experiments, the ground with the area of 20mⅹ20m was selectived as the receiving surface.The simulation results showed that , the central illumination (24.3lx, 24.6lx and 25.4lx) and the average illumination (16.6lx, 15.9lx and 17.2lx) were obtained when the various LED floodlights (60°, 90°and 120°) were mounted at the various height (19m, 15m and 10 m), respectively.Finally, the samples of 60°and 120°LED floodlights with LED secondary aspheric lens based on the previous data were prepared for the further experiments .On the optical property detection and the simulate data comparative analysis, the central illumination deviation were 2.6lx and 2.2lx, the average illumination deviation were 1.4lx, 0.6lx.The data between simulation and sample was similar .By this study and the application of the developed LED secondary lens , secondary lens of LED which can cover the same distributional area of illumination with the changes of lens according to the height of LED floodlight , without changes of light luminaires and LED light source .Therefore , it can be assumed that it will contribute to the decrease in the installation expense of luminaires and the production cost .
