Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of health education of peripheral central venous catheter (PICC) in whole range treatment of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients during the period of concurrent chemoradiotherapy and adjuvant chemotherapy.Method:182 patients who fulfilled the inclusion were assigned to receive chemotherapy through PICC from July 2011 to July 2012.During the whole range treatment of patients,health education about PICC was carried out.During the hospital,calculating the incidence of PICC common complications,such as mechanical phlebitis,catheter related thrombosis,catheter related infections,puncture mouth seepage,duct obstruction,emerge,etc.Result:The incidence rate of mechanical phlebitis,catheter related thrombosis, catheter related infections were 6.04%,1.10%,2.20%,0.55%and no catheter obstruction and emerge.In the intermittent period of treatment,no common complications,for example mechanical phlebitis,blood clots and infection.Conclusion:For nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients,health education of PICC in whole period of treatment can not only fulfil the need of them,but also improve quality of service.关键词
