Abstract
The models of doubly-fed wind turbine, SVC and STATCOM were given. And the control strategies of the two dynamic reactive power compensation devices were provided respectively. Based on a regional power grid of Mengdon, both SVC and STATCOM were applied to the wind farm respectively in simulation and the characteristics of transient voltage were analyzed. The simulative results showed that both the SVC and STATCOM could help wind farm voltage rapidly reconstruct after the fault. In addition, the STATCOM could improve the transient stability of the wind farm preferably, and the compensation effect of STATCOM was better than SVC.关键词
