Effects of blood uric acid level on the levels of serum high sensitive C-reactive protein, blood pressure variability of patients with essential hypertension

Abstract
Objective To observed and analyze the effects of blood uric acid (BUA) level on the levels of serum high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),blood pressure variability (BPV) of the patients with essential hypertension (EH).Methods 160 cases of EH patients were selected as the research objects and divided into four groups according to the four quartiles of the BUA:the 1st quartile group (BUA ≤ 464.93 μ mmol/L),the 2nd quartile group (464.93 μ mmol/L ＜BUA ≤ 508.27 μ mmol/L),the 3rd quartile group (508.27 μ mmol/L ＜BUA ≤ 607.31 μ mmol/L),the 4th quartile group (BUA ＞ 607.31 μ mmol/L).40 patients were included into each group.24h blood pressure monitoring was conducted to the patients in the four groups and the levels of hs-CRP of the patients were detected and compared.Results There were no significant differences of the mean blood pressure at every period among the patients in the four groups (P ＞ 0.05).The night SBPSD and DBP-SD of the patients in the 4th quartile group were significantly higher than those of the 3rd quartile group (P ＜ 0.05) and the SD of the 3rd quartile group was significantly higher than that of the 1st or 2nd quartile group (P ＜ 0.05); the serum hs-CRP levels of the patients in the four groups were in ascending order and there were significant differences between the groups (P ＜ 0.05); the multiple linear regression analysis showed,the night SBP-SD (β =0.293,P ＜ 0.05) and hs-CRP (β =0.627,P ＜ 0.05) were independent factors associated with BUA level.Conclusion BPV and serum hs-CRP level can reflect the organ damage of the patients with EH.BPV and hs-CRP levels are correlated with the level of BUA in patients with EH and can be used as the reference indicators of renal artery injury of the patients with EH.关键词
