Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Chinese traditional medicine combined with nursing intervention on nutritional status and 3-year survival quality of patients with colon carcinoma.Methods Clinical data of 137 patients with colon carcinoma in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College from May 2009 to March 2012 was analyzed by mini-nutritional assessment (MNA) method.All patients received surgical treatment,and were equally randomly divided into intervention group (70 cases) and control group (67 cases).Intervention group was given Chinese medicine combined with systematic nursing intervention,while control group was given conventional nutrition only.Two groups were compared in nutritional condition and complications 3 years after operation.Results Three years after operation,the incidences of poor-nutrition,remote metastasis and the mortality in intervention group were lower than those in control group (18.57％ vs.34.33％,11.43％ vs.25.37％,5.71％ vs.16.42％; P ＜ 0.05),the free-of-recurrence rate was higher than that of control group (77.14％ vs.50.75％; P =0.001); there was no statistically significant difference in local recurrence rate between two groups (5.71％ vs.7.46％; P =0.680).Conclusion The application of Chinese traditional medicine combined with nursing intervention is very important for patients with colon carcinoma,as it can improve nutritional status and life quality,reduce complications and make a longer survival.关键词
