Abstract
Objective To explore an effective hemostasis method for neonates after PICC catheterization and ways preventing limb swell.Methods 132 neonates admitted into our department,needing PICC catheterization,and receiving routine nursing care were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,66 for each group.The puncture sites of the control group were pressed with 2 cm × 2 cm gauze and were wrapped with bandages to increase pressure; while those of the observation group with selfmade gauze balls (0.5 cm × 0.8 cm),and the local pressure of the puncture sites was externally increased with transparent application.Puncture site oozing and limb swelling were observed in both groups.Results The hemostasis effect and limb swell control of puncture sites were better in the observation group than in the control group,with statistical differences (P＜0.05).Conclusions Pressing puncture sites with self-made disinfection gauze balls can rapidly achieve hemostasis effect and prevent limb swelling.关键词
